On the 29th of November at 11am, a group of Mothers’ Union members, trustees and our Diocesan President, Kathleen met to walk and pray through the streets of Durham as part of  the worldwide campaign: 16  Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence.

As we walked, we handed out leaflets explaining who we were, what we were doing and why. We also handed out cards with prayers and statistics about the prevalence of G.B.V. We finished out prayer walk at the Cathedral and had a short time of quiet meditation.

Although this is a difficult issue, it was heart-warming to see the positive response we received, particularly from younger people.
